I’m afraid White Horse Vale is no more When the guys from generation three returned home from college they all refused to get married - each time I made them propose they kept jumping in the air (and not for joy), so it would appear that they were all suffering from the dreaded jump bug for some reason. It may have been due to the number of times I’d moved them all around as the new expansion packs were released, as each family had been causing problems occasionally whilst saving the lots. I’d killed off some of the elders to make room for the children that would be born into generation four, and had planned an epidemic of some kind as a reason for the deaths. Instead the whole kingdom, and that of Oakhampton, was thoroughly wiped out.

It had been an unusally cold year in White Horse Vale, but the air outside was decidedly warm compared to the chill that hung over the dining room of the royal palace one morning in late September. Alfred, the youngest son of the king and queen, had always been used to getting his own way - he saw it as the one and only perk of being born to older parents. He knew that unless some tragedy befell his brother and heir to the throne, Louis, he’d never be king, so he was determined to make his own way in life. Unfortunately his parents didn’t always agree with the choices that he’d made, but they decided that it was better for him to learn from his mistakes as long as they were not costly to the family’s good name. However they had not prepared for Alfred’s latest bombshell.
