Chapter 1
Note: This chapter does not contain any dialogue as it’s more of a recap of who’s who in the kingdom, and shows the children of Generation 2 as teenagers now that most of them are "paired up."
Autumn had arrived early in the kingdom of White Horse Vale and the heir to the throne, Louis Montgomery, would soon be leaving the comfort of the palace for the excitement of life at college. His sisters were barred from attending college, and although this did not upset the elder twin Olivia, the younger twin Charlotte was most annoyed at having to stay at home and attend formal lunches and parties.
Since his fifth birthday Louis had been betrothed to Hannah Knight, the eldest child and only daughter of Lord William and Lady Elizabeth Knight. Hannah’s father was the King’s most trusted adviser, and the two men became the best of friends when they met at Invicta Military Academy during their late teens. Therefore it was a foregone conclusion that the families would one day be united by marriage, and the ties would be further strengthened by the marriage of the Knight’s son Edward to Princess Olivia.
The King and Queen were very pleased that their children got along so well with their intended spouses - after all they had grown up together, and Olivia had had a crush on Edward since she was ten years old (although she had never told anyone of course).
Edward and Olivia spent as much time together as they could, as Edward was also leaving for college in a few weeks time. Naturally shy, Edward had matured rapidly since his marriage to Olivia had been arranged, but the young couple were careful not to cross the line of acceptable behaviour. Instead they would spend their time together cuddled up on a settee talking about Edward’s breaks from college (he would be home for a few days at Christmas, much to Olivia’s relief), or strolling around the gardens at the palace.

I’d decided on the pairings once they’d all been born, but I’m going to see who Jack (peasant teen) meets up with and more or less let him decide who to marry.
