A couple of random shots and some new faces
Now that I’ve installed Bon Voyage I thought I’d take a couple of pictures of my White Horse Vale families getting ready to move into their new houses - I always re-install everything from scratch when a new expansion pack is released, as the royal palace kept crashing the game during my first attempt at the Royal Kingdom Challenge. Re-housing the peasants and merchants - Gardener family and Chandler family respectively - isn’t too much of an issue as their houses were originally in Veronaville. The new royal palace and nobles’ mansion aren’t too bad either, as I made a quick floor plan of their houses before taking out my saved games, etc. prior to installing everything again. Anyway without further ado, here are the Gardeners in an empty lot to make sure that they’ve survived the move:
As the other three families are related I had to put them all on one empty lot so that they were still linked. Luckily it worked (thank you Tomb Stone of Life and Death), but it’s not something I’d do again in a hurry - it may not look like it, but there are eighteen sims on this lot *eek* Unfortunately for them it decided to pour with rain, and there was a raging thunderstorm to boot. Luckily no one was struck by lightening:
I’ve also made a second kingdom to mix up the genepool for later generations - the game doesn’t let first cousins marry, and even though I’m not scoring my kingdom I don’t really want the royal and noble heirs marrying below their status. Meet the families in the kingdom of Oakhampton! The king is Robert Campbell (black suit with red sash), a bachelor who in this shot doesn’t look very happy about being single (he’s not really a misery, honest!). Living with him are his brother Duncan (in the middle) and sister Eleanor - they are also single. Robert has a wealth aspiration, Duncan is romance, and Eleanor is pleasure:
Next we have the noble Fraser family. Alexander is married to Jane (blue dress), and as yet they have no children (when they do they will correspond with generation four in White Horse Vale). Living with them is Alexander’s sister Mary, who is single. Alexander’s aspiration is popularity, Jane is family, and Mary is knowledge:

I absolutely LOVE!! your story. I can’t wait to read the next entry!I have been itching to start a RKC of my own, but i wanted a kind of 16th century/ Renaissance theme.I found some clothes that i think are from that era, but i don’t know where to find objects for the houses that would reflect the time. Do you know any sites that would help?(clocks, couches, curtains, beds, farm things for peasants, etc) THANX!!!!!
