New Arrivals
Spring had finally arrived in White Horse Vale after a bitterly cold winter. All through the kingdom the trees were beginning to unfurl their leaves, the flowers releasing their scent into the warm April air as bees hummed gently over the fields and meadows. Everyone was celebrating the return of colour to the landscape, and the farmers were hopeful of a good season for both crops and beasts.
The kingdom was also celebrating the return of the king and his new queen, who had been touring the country as part of an extended honeymoon. King Charles had succeeded his father the previous November, just three months before his marriage to Sophia - a princess from a small neighbouring kingdom. After an exhaustive tour and endless banquets they were relieved to finally be home, and were looking forward to spending time together as husband and wife.
